Ritmos Cubanos

Osvaldo Carvajal, percussionist with the Bay Area AfroCuban band Pellejo Seco stopped in Ashland, Oregon for a workshop covering various aspects of Cuban percussion and dance styles. Demonstrating the building blocks of traditional and newer Cuban music styles on cowbell, bongo, claves, and timbales, Carvajal presented the rhythms in a casual yet engaging style.
